About The Women Collective
We are a global team of luminous, valiant females who specialise in strategic female empowerment and social development. We believe that women's empowerment attributes to women's capacity to create deliberate life choices which had been previously deprived of.
Hence, empowering women and girls is an investment in families, communities and countries.
Bridging the Gap With our Values
Diverse
ensuring that our staff and governance structures are diverse, so that we reflect the communities we serve.
Inclusion
in order to shape a balanced and prosperous society, we must include everyone.
Empower
Capable and talented young women have the power to participate in their communities, however, they just need someone to believe in them and support them to give them the chance.
Advocate
Appreciating and advocating to dismiss any discernment practises that young women face and raise their voice out.
The Women Collective
A global women’s organisation for a just world that promotes female empowerment, the right to education, gender equality and financial emancipation.
Women make up more than
2/3
of the world's 796 million illiterate people.
33,000
girls
become child brides every day
hours a year collecting water
Women in rural parts of Africa spend
40 billion
We envision a world where no girls are indistinguishable or left behind and can practice their rights freely and equally as any effective member in their society. We aim to break the cycle of poverty and gender exclusion that a majority of girls are born into. We are the Women Collective.
Our Projects
Leadership Academy & Education
A series of soft skills seminars aimed to equip young girls with the necessary skills to be the leaders of our tomorrow.
Education has no barriers, for this reason, we also conduct mixed workshops including young boys in order to educate, develop and bridge the gap between the genders.
Mentorship & Scolarships
In this program we match young girls with experts (peer-to-peer approach) to guide, teach and sponsor their learning journey.
Economic Independence Program
Supporting women's Independence by providing training in finance, developing visible business strategy and health education (nutrition and family planning). Eventually, we provide seed funds to build up their enterprises and put into action what they learnt in their local communities.
